SOLVANG, Calif.
Alisal Guest Ranch & Resort is proud to unveil plans for renovated guestrooms slated for completion in May 2014. The most recent groundbreaking began in October, and marks the second major addition to the guestrooms at the nearly 70-year-old working cattle ranch.
Last March, Alisal finished renovations of 12 pool suites adding an approximate 70 square feet to the main bathrooms including new tile flooring, lighting and fixtures. The newly renovated suites boast a wide range of updates, while maintaining the Western flair that guests have become accustomed to.
Alisal began renovating 20 of the original units on the property, located adjacent to the Ranch Course. This project will continue over the next 18 months.
"We could not be happier that we can renovate the 'Golf Row' guestrooms," says General Manager David Lautensack. "At Alisal we feel it is important maintain the integrity of the resort while, at the same time we want to listen to our guests' recommendations. We recognize that guest needs and preferences are changing and we want to stay current while still providing the guest room features that differentiate the Alisal from other high-end resorts."

The Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort offers 73 telephone-and-television-free guest cottages and suites, more than 50 miles of horseback riding trails, two 18-hole championship golf courses, a 6,500-square-foot spa and fitness center, six tennis courts and a 100-acre spring-fed lake with water sports, including fly fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
The property also boasts more than 5,500 square feet of elegant meeting and event space.
