The newly opened Hyatt Place Hotel Pensacola Airport boasts 127 rooms, 1,100 square feet of meeting space, free Wi-Fi, a free 24-hour fitness center, an e-room with both Mac and PC computers for guest use, and a covered walkway that connects to the airport.
Pensacola’s National Flight Academy introduced Ambition, a simulated landlocked aircraft carrier that creates an immersive destination where groups face complex challenges and undertake “missions.”
Set to open directly across from the Emerald Coast Convention Center this spring is the Holiday Inn Resort Fort Walton Beach, featuring 152 guest rooms, an indoor heated pool, an outdoor pool with hot tub, a lazy river with a waterfall, a business center, 2,500 square feet of Gulf-front meeting space and free Wi-Fi in all guest rooms and common areas.
What started as a renovation has morphed into a complete rebuild. The former Holiday Inn on the Beach in Destin is slated to debut in summer 2015 as the Destin Sands (850.837.6181) following a total transformation from the ground up. The new property will include meeting space.
A $12.5 million improvement project is under way at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, which will include a refurbishment of all 200 Spa Tower rooms, a redesigned indoor pool, lobby enhancements and upgraded designs for the resort’s 11,000-square-foot spa. The 598-room resort also recently completed a cosmetic refresh of its two ballrooms, breakout rooms and prefunction space.
Panama City Beach unveiled the $2.6 million Amphitheater at Aaron Bessant Park, a 7,500-person, open-air venue that includes an expansive green lawn and hospitality amenities.
