Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau launches CONNECT campaign to attract MICE travelers

The Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau launched the Thailand CONNECT marketing campaign, in an effort to increase the country’s visitibility as a MICE destination. Thailand has a goal of welcoming 987,000 international MICE visitors in 2014, which would be a nearly ten percent increase over 2013 projections.

The country is home to six international airports and nine major conference venues, offering a combined total of 2.5 million square feet of meeting space. Draws include warm beaches and relaxation packages like the private meditation walks offered at the Phulay Bay, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, where groups arrange private sessions led by a Buddhist monk from the Tiger Cave Temple.
