The newly expanded Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a Nashville treasure

More Coverage

Groups gathering at the Omni Nashville Hotel are in for another outstanding musical experience. The iconic Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is connected to the new property, giving attendees access to three levels of intriguing exhibits, in addition to awesome event venues, several of which are brand-new.

The museum, an architectural gem that chronicles the story of country music through two centuries, is undergoing a major expansion that will increase its total square footage to more than 350,000. The entire project is set for completion in early 2014. Several venues are already open. The expansion includes additional gallery space, the impressive 800-seat CMA Theater and the Taylor Swift Education Center.

New venues will include the Carlton Terrace, hosting up to 400 people, the Event Hall, accommodating up to 1,200 people, the Event Hall Lobby, holding up to 600 people, CMA Theater, a state-of-the-art space with 800 seats, and the Grand Foyer, with a capacity for 750 people.

Whether groups plan an event here or not, a trip to the museum is a must. Tracing every genre of country music, it could take an entire afternoon to cover the exhibits, many of which include listening stations and other fun interactive features. The cultural institution has been a premier Nashville attraction since it opened in 1967.
