Tokyo Marriott Opens on Gotenyama Hilltop

TOKYO

Marriott International announced the opening of the Tokyo Marriott Hotel, its 12th property in Japan. The 259-room hotel offers convenient access to the Tokaido bullet train as well as Haneda Airport and the Yamanote Line circling central Tokyo.

Marriott is expanding its portfolio in the country in anticipation of the 2020 Summer Olympics, which Japan is hosting.

The Marriott conversion extensively refurbished the former Gotenyama Garden Hotel Laforet Tokyo.

The Tokyo Marriott shares its hilltop location with Gotenyama Garden, a 73,000-square-foot green space and the former site of the residential villa of Shogun Tokugawa Iemitsu (1604–1651), and the nightlife district of Roppongi is nearby.
