Lanai
- The Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay debuted several new food and beverage options, including a new cocktail lounge, sports bar and Nobu Lanai, a restaurant operated by celebrity chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa.
Maui
- Andaz Maui at Wailea opened in September. The oceanfront resort is located on Mokapu Beach and features 297 guest rooms and suites, seven two- to four-bedroom residential villas, outdoor infinity pools, a full service spa and 15,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Food and beverage outlets include two poolside cocktail lounges and the restaurants Kaana Kitchen and Morimoto Maui, operated by celebrity chef Masaharu Morimoto.
- The Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa opened the Moana Private Dining Room, an event space located atop Black Rock offering panoramic views of Molokai and Lanai. The room seats up to 28 for dinner. Also new at the resort is Na Hoku Club Lounge, a lounge for club-level guests offering continental breakfast and evening appetizers with cocktails.
- Montage Resorts plans to open the Montage Kapalua Bay later this year, following a conversion of the Residences at Kapalua, a time-share property. The 50-unit, all-suite hotel will include a spa and dining outlets.
- The Westin Maui Resort & Spa unveiled a multimillion-dollar remodel, which included the 553 guest rooms and suites in the Ocean Tower. The tower features new decor with island-inspired artwork and updated electronics, plus new spa-like showers and balconies with transparent railings to provide unobstructed views of Kaanapali Beach and the West Maui Mountains.
- The Ulalena Luau is a new entertainment option at the Makena Beach and Golf Resort. The outdoor luau, offered on Wednesday and Sunday nights, includes a plated dinner and a theatrical production showcasing Hawaiian culture and history.
- A new turbo-prop air carrier, Ohana Airlines, a subsidiary of Hawaiian Airlines, is expected to begin service from Honolulu to Molokai, Lanai and small airports on Maui later this year.
