Renaissance Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa in Birmingham is in the final stages of a $5 million renovation. The four-diamond resort castle opened in 2005 and has been consistently ranked as Birmingham’s top hotel and golf course.
All 259 guest rooms and most common areas are being updated, including guest corridors, the boardroom, elevator lobbies, ballroom and meeting rooms, restaurants and golf pro shop. The resort’s indoor pool also is being refurbished.
All renovations should be complete by the end of February 2014.
Guest rooms underwent soft updates, and the hotel's master suites, including the Presidential Suite and Governor's Suite, will be completely remodeled, including new furniture.
The biggest change in the hotel will be a $1.2 million renovation of the 2,000-square-foot lobby lounge, J.T’s Tavern. It will be converted into a more enclosed environment and will have all the woodwork, including the bar and cabinets, replaced.
