Mark D. Thompson

Mark D. Thompson is the latest addition to the Dallas CVB team, in his new role as vice president, tourism.

He brings more than 20 years of industry experience to the position and will be responsible for the bureau's cultural tourism, special events, attractions development and international strategic plans. 

Prior to joining the DCVB, Thompson served for ten years as the vice president of marketing at the Irving CVB, and spent more than ten years at the Southfork Ranch Event and Conference Center and the Southfork Hotel overseeing sales, marketing and public relations for the facilities.
