Caesar’s new LINQ Las Vegas is a 200,000-square foot open-air district that will soon be filled with shopping, dining, nightlife, a giant Ferris wheel and a plethora of venue options for groups.
Sitting just off the Strip, the 550-foot High Roller is the world’s tallest observation wheel, and has 28 cabins that can hold 40 attendees. Planners can rent out individual cabins (and roll in a bar cart) or the entire Roller can be bought out. Plus, the adjoining Wheel House offers 2,500 square feet of group space and can be used in conjunction with the High Roller for longer, elaborate events that require more space for F&B.
“This project is our most exciting new development for groups right now,” says Amy Allen, director of group marketing for the LINQ.
The High Roller is scheduled to begin operation in the first half of 2014, and some of the surrounding businesses are already open, with more scheduled to come onl-ine soon.
The LINQ space connects two Caesars properties, the Quad Rock Resort to the north, and the Flamingo to the south. “It’s a gathering place and will connect people,” Allen says.
Large groups can buyout the entire LINQ facility, which would allow thousands of attendees to flow between stores and restaurants and take a spin on the High Roller.
More good news for planners is that the LINQ will be part of Caesar’s alternative venues program, so events there will count toward their F&B minimums at participating properties, while offering a diverse mix of experiences.
