Palm Springs
In October 2013, the 163-room Hotel Zoso reopened as Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs. Meeting venues include the pool patio, bar and lounge, and hotel restaurant.
The City of Palm Springs is in midst of a downtown revitalization project. When it is completed in early 2015, the Desert Fashion Plaza Mall will be largely replaced by a pedestrian-friendly shopping and entertainment village adjacent to Palm Springs Art Museum. The development will include an open-air event venue and a 190-room Kimpton Hotel.
Indian Wells
The 530-room Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa recently completed an extensive renovation to its outdoor patio area including the bar and restaurant. There are more than 88,000 square feet of meeting space.
In past months, Miramonte Resort & Spa invested $2 million to referesh all 215 guest rooms. There are 18,000 square feet of meeting space.
Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa recently upgraded its 560 guest rooms, installing iPod docks and replacing carpets, office chairs, desk lamps and bedding. There are more than 60,000 square feet of meeting space.
Rancho Mirage
The first new U.S. Ritz-Carlton property in four years, Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage is slated to open in 2014. The bluff-top luxury resort will offer 244 guest rooms and a 25,000-square-foot spa. Meeting space will comprise 16,000 square feet indoors and 24,000 square feet outdoors, including two scenic lawns perched at the edge of the cliff.
Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa has reflagged to Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa following a $5 million renovation. Improvements included a facelift and technology upgrade for its 50,000 square feet of meeting space. There are 444 guest rooms.
