The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis cooks up BBQ competition

Team building gets spicy at The Ritz-Carlton, St Louis, with a new offering that challenges groups to create their own signature St. Louis barbecue sauce.

Each small team is coached by a Ritz-Carlton chef to create a signature sauce using provided ingredients.

The competition can be held in the kitchen or in a meeting room, depending on group size.

The sauces are then judged by hotel chefs or group representatives, and a barbecue dinner can be catered using the winning sauce.

The 300-room Ritz-Carlton located in Clayton, Mo., offers 30,000 square feet of function space and three restaurants on-property.
