Boise and Riverside update convention centers

The Greater Boise Auditorium District announced plans to construct a new 15,000-square-foot ballroom, a commercial kitchen and 14,000 square feet of meeting space to the existing conference center. The Boise Convention Center has been operating at capacity for several years, and the project would double its current 55,000 square feet.

The Riverside Convention Center in Southern California is newly renovated and expanded, offering 65,000 square feet of indoor meeting space. The center reopened this spring following a 21-month, $43 million upgrade and can now accommodate groups as large as 3,000 people, with 20 meeting rooms.

Fifteen-thousand square feet of outdoor function space is also available, and the Riverside CVB reports that more than 80 events are already booked through 2018.
