The Tropicana Casino & Resort in Atlantic City, N.J., announced a proposed $35 million renovation that would upgrade the Boardwalk facade, add retail and renovate hotel rooms.
The project is awaiting approval from authorities, including the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. If passed, construction would begin by the end of 2014.
The Tropicana currently accommodates meeting groups with 2,078 guest rooms and more than 122,000 square feet of meeting space.
