St. Louis
The first phase of the new Ballpark Village, a 10-acre mixed-use entertainment plaza on the north side of Busch Stadium, greeted baseball fans attending the 2014 opening day game. Features include eateries, a rooftop deck and the St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Fame and Museum.
The Gateway Arch grounds are undergoing an enhancement project that will connect downtown St. Louis with the national monument and the Mississippi River in time for the arch’s 50th anniversary in 2015.
Springfield
Hotel Vandivort is under construction in a 108-year-old building in the heart of Springfield’s historic and entertainment district. The 50-room boutique hotel will open in June and feature several meeting spaces, including a 2,800-square-foot ballroom. as well as a bar and restaurant, multiple lounge areas and a business center.
Columbia
The Broadway Columbia, a DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, opened in March with more than 3,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom accommodating up to 160 people.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites is scheduled to open this month with 121 guest rooms, a full-service restaurant and two meeting rooms.
Holiday Inn Executive Center recently renovated its exterior, lobby and guest rooms.
Lake of the Ozarks
The 359-room Lodge of Four Seasons will celebrate 50 years in the hospitality business next month. The property, Missouri’s longest privately held, owned and operated full-service golf resort and marina, boasts three championship golf courses, a large marina, a spa, 35 multibedroom luxury suites and 65,000 square feet of flexible conference and event space.
Camden on the Lake Resort, Spa & Yacht Club is scheduled to unveil approximately 4,000 square feet of additional meeting and exhibit space this month. The resort is also adding a two-bedroom master suite and installing new carpet in all corridors and meeting rooms.
Tan-Tar-A Resort is undergoing at $5 million renovation, scheduled for completion by this summer. The project includes upgrades to its 144 guest rooms, a new main lobby and an overhaul of its 5th floor exhibit area.
St. Charles
The 133-room Best Western Plus Saint Charles Inn completed a $2 million renovation in fall 2013. The project included upgrades to its guest rooms, suites, meeting spaces and business center.
