The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company announced Bali, Indonesia, as the next location of a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. The exclusive resort is set to open in Ubud in the summer of 2015, joining the other Reserve properties in Phulay Bay, Thailand and Dorado Beach in Puerto Rico.
Ubud is located in a district famous for its arts and crafts as well as temples and monasteries, and the proeprty will offer views of Bali's famous terraced rice paddy fields adjacent to the village temple.
Architectural design inspiration is taken from the unique environment of Ubud. The property will have 60 villas and suites showcasing indigenous architectural features.
Covering 45 acres of land overlooking the Indian Ocean, the hotel will encompass gardens, hillside views, meditative areas and meandering pathways as well as a spa and two swimming pools.
