Just when you think you’ve got your job routine down pat, they go and change it up on you!
That must be what our departments editor, Kelsey Farabee, is thinking these days, as the past couple of months have seen her rappel 250 feet off the Hyatt Regency San Francisco (as detailed in last month’s issue) and embark on a last-minute trip to challenge herself at the Bear Grylls Survival Academy.
What, pray tell, will next month bring?
Maybe we should get on the phone and call up some sky diving companies, or perhaps a demolition derby needs a ride-along?
Keep up the good work, Kelsey, and keep safe!

The July issue marks the first installment of what we believe will be a very popular feature, “Meetings Trendsetters.”
We scoured the meetings landscape to bring you 35 movers and shakers who keep the industry on its toes and act as advocates for the profession.
Our CSR feature this issue, “Animal Planet,” focuses on how groups can help organizations that rescue and rehabilitate animals—what’s not to like about that?
We decided to mix it up with our emerging destinations story this year. Instead of focusing on lower-tier or tertiary locales, we looked for areas that have substantially upped their reputation as a meetings destination via major development projects, so places such as Washington, D.C., Anaheim and Nashville made the list.
And finally, our resorts and incentives feature examines how a top-shelf incentive program at an upscale resort trumps even cash as an employee motivator.
