InterContinental Hotels opened the new 258-room Holiday Inn –Sherwood Park–Conference Center, following a multimillion-dollar investment. The hotel offers 17 meeting rooms totaling more than 22,000 square feet.
Arizona
The Radisson Fort McDowell Resort will be rebranded as the We-Ko-Pa Resort & Conference Center in October. Operated by the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the resort will feature 246 guest rooms, award-winning golf courses and meeting and event space for more than 2,000 guests.
California
Southern California’s Beverly Hilton completed a $7 million renovation that updated Wilshire Tower guest rooms and modernized the International Ballroom.
The Hotel Del Coronado completed a two-year, $13 million renovation that updated the hotel’s original Victorian guest rooms, beach villas, dining venues and lobby. The 757-room hotel offers 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
On Shelter Island near San Diego, the Kona Kai Resort & Marina is slated to complete a $22 million renovation project this month. Meeting spaces were updated with new flooring, marble bathrooms and crystal chandeliers. Function spaces total more than 55,000 square feet; 13,000 indoors and 42,000 outdoors, including a private beach.
Nevada
The Cromwell boutique hotel is now open in Las Vegas, with 118 guest rooms. The property includes a 40,000-square-foot casino and a 65,000-square-foot rooftop nightclub event venue.
Washington
The Grand Hyatt Seattle completed a $6.3 million renovation that increased its number of guest rooms to 457. The hotel has more than 25,000 square feet of meeting space, including a 5,600-square-foot ballroom.
