SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of the new Homewood Suites by Hilton Halifax – Downtown earlier this spring. The Homewood Suites property is part of a dual-brand project, in conjunction with the Hampton Inn – Halifax Downtown.
The 16-story hotel features 181 Hampton Inn and 135 Homewood Suites guest rooms.
“The hotel’s convenient location in the heart of downtown Halifax makes it ideal for both business and leisure guests,” says Trevor Morgan, general manager of the Homewood Suites.
Centrally located at 1960 Brunswick Street, the dual-brand property offers easy access to major corporate headquarters as well as fantastic shopping, dining and entertainment. Nearby attractions include the Citadel Hill Historic Site, the Halifax Harbour Boardwalk, Pier 21 and the trendy Spring Garden Road.
The dual-brand concept creates enhanced and larger communal areas, including a 5,000-square-foot signature SilverBirch Conference Centre including seven fully equipped meeting rooms providing the latest in built-in conferencing technology, complimentary 24-hour business center, indoor swimming pool and fitness center. The hotel also has two distinct lobbies offering two separate check-in desks
