SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts opened and renovated several properties in Western Canada this year, including the new Home2 Suites by Hilton-West Edmonton property in Alberta.
The four-story, 127-suite property is centrally located with easy access to some of the city’s top attractions like the West Edmonton Mall, Telus World of Science, Fort Edmonton Park and Edmonton River Valley.
The property was constructed utilizing pre-fabricated structural steel studs for the building’s framework instead of the traditional wood frame structure, slimming the building timeline to less than 11 months. The construction model also aligns with Home2 Suites’ commitment to sustainability, as the steel pieces are 100-percent recyclable.
Guests experience easy access to technology, inviting community spaces, and Home2 Suites amenities such as the Oasis lobby area, the Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items and Spin2 Cycle, a combined laundry and fitness area.
The hotel features an indoor saline pool and outdoor patio with a fire pit, and all Home2 Suites by Hilton properties are pet-friendly.
Also in West Edmonton is the new DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton, which underwent a multimillion-dollar transformation and conversion from its former Mayfield Inn and Suites flag.
The DoubleTree is less than 30 miles from Edmonton International Airport.
DoubleTree by Hilton West Edmonton also features a state-of-the-art SilverBirch Conference Centre, offering 38,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. Meeting attendees can enjoy the Connections Cafe offering complimentary Wi-Fi and espresso drinks.
Conference facilities are comprised of two grand ballrooms and 15 meeting rooms, including seven soundproof rooms, ideally-suited to accommodate everything from small meetings to training seminars and large scale events of up to 700 people.
The hotel also offers a variety of dining options. Open for all-day dining, Stages Kitchen & Bar is a casually-sophisticated restaurant offering a diverse global menu with a local twist.
