Potawatami Hotel opens at Milwaukee casino

Untitled Document

After breaking ground more than two years ago, in June 2012, the Potawatomi Hotel opened at the Milwaukee casino last month.

The 19-story downtown hotel offers 381 guest rooms, the Locavore restaurant and 60,000 square feet of function space accommodating up to 3,000 guests, including an event center, ballroom and smaller meeting spaces.

The project cost approximately $97.5 million. The casino sees about 6 million visitors annually, and hopes the hotel will expand its regional draw.

The casino first opened as a bingo hall in 1991 but notably dropped “bingo” from the name of the new hotel.
