GALENA, Ill.
Eagle Ridge Resort and Spa announced it is now an official member of the International Association of Concerence Centers (IACC), following a renovation that affected thousands of square feet of conference space, golf courses and almost all the public areas of the property.
The centerpiece of the Eagle Ridge renovation was the property's 15,000 square feet of meeting space, with a portion of the meeting space built to standards specified by IACC.
These guidelines, followed by the best meeting facilities in the world, were met in upgrades to the resort's dedicated conference center, specially designated food and beverage service and facilities, carefully calibrated acoustics and lighting, ergonomic furniture, and state-of-the-art technology, ranging from high-speed wireless Internet to built-in video systems for presentations and videoconferences.
In addition to the conference center, the entire lobby was modernized with upscale flooring, lighting, wall color and furniture to create a comfortable gathering space to eat, drink and socialize around the Eagle Ridge lobby fireplace. A new front desk features check-in pods for guests.
Dining options at Eagle Ridge have also been enhanced. The Woodlands Restaurant was updated with modern paint, furniture and flooring as well as state-of-the-art equipment. Woodstone Restaurant is the new clubhouse restaurant, offering upscale yet casual dining.
Lastly, the property oversaw the renovation of 63 golf holes, across four courses. The 6,800-acre resort is 150 miles west of Chicago and offers 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
