➤ The Ron Jon Cape Caribe Resort rebranded as the Holiday Inn Club Vacations Cape Canaveral Beach Resort, with an onsite business center and restaurant and room options that include suites with full kitchens or kitchenettes.
➤ Opening recently on Daytona Beach, the Hyatt Place offers direct beach access for 143 rooms, an expansive oceanfront pool and spa, a 24-hour fitness center and 500 square feet of meeting and event space.
➤ Emerging from a property-wide transformation, Daytona Beach’s Shores Resort & Spa unveiled enhanced meeting space, including a refreshed Grand Ballroom, a new prefunction area, a second-floor private dining room and technology upgrades throughout the property. Other renovations include new oceanfront suites, an updated restaurant and lounge, new seating around the outdoor fire pits and new turtle-friendly outdoor lighting.
➤ Daytona One, the mixed-use and entertainment destination that is slated to open across from Daytona International Speedway in 2016, selected Shaner Hotels and Prime Hospitality Group as partners to develop a 145-room, full-service boutique property on the 181-acre site.
➤ A 250-room Hard Rock Hotel is coming to Daytona Beach. The property, slated to open in late 2016, will feature 28,000 square feet of ballroom and banquet space.
