San Luis Obispo County
The Madonna Inn in San Luis Obispo recently added a 250-person capacity garden space for events, including an adjacent kitchen.
Allegretto Vineyard Resort by Ayres is scheduled to open on 20 acres in Paso Robles in summer 2015. This new Tuscan-style resort will feature 169 guest rooms, a restaurant, on-site spa and 5,000 square feet of conference space.
A 127-room Oxford Suites hotel is on track to open in downtown Paso Robles in 2015. It will offer 5,300 square feet of meeting space, an outdoor pool and on-site catering for meetings and events.
At press time, Marriott SpringHill Hotel in Atascadero was on track to open this month with 130 guest rooms and 5,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Santa Barbara County
The 158-room Goodland Hotel opened in Santa Barbara in October with an on-site restaurant and bar, and 4,500 square feet of meeting space plus an event lawn.
The Wayfarer, a new concept hostel that is reminiscent of an upscale boutique property, opened in Santa Barbara in August with private and shared rooms.
Earlier this year, Hotel Corque in Solvang added private cabanas, fire pits and a resort bar.
Radisson Hotel Santa Maria completed a renovation in December 2013, including updates to the hotel lobby, 184 guest rooms and meeting spaces.
Ventura County
At press time, Crowne Plaza Ventura Beach had started a soft renovation, including new carpet and bedding in guest rooms.
Embassy Suites Mandalay Beach Hotel & Resort in Oxnard completed a renovation of its guest suites, public areas and restaurant in April 2013.
The Residence Inn by Marriott at River Ridge recently completed a renovation of its exterior buildings and guest suites.
