Public transportation improvements in Anaheim, Calif., reached a crucial milestone with the December opening of a $188 million, 67,000-square-foot transit station in Orange County.
The Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (ARTIC) is centrally located, near the Honda Center, Angel Stadium, Disneyland and the Anaheim Convention Center.
The transportation hub includes more than 1,000 parking spaces, bicycle lockers, bus stops for the Orange County Transportation Authority and private operators, and a skybridge to Amtrak and Metrolink train stations.
Future plans include connections to streetcar systems and California’s high-speed rail line that is in development.
