LONG BEACH, Calif.
Hotel Maya’s new 6,400-square-foot Lagunita waterfront pavilion is now open.
The $1.4 million venue is inspired by ancient Mayan temples, featuring a tall cathedral-style ceiling, five chandeliers and two floor-to-ceiling walls that look out over the Pacific Ocean.
Lagunita can host 600 guests for standing receptions, 400 guests with a dance floor, and seat guests up to 450 in rounds and 350 classroom-style.
To enter Lagunita, guests pass through “Vista del Mar” a 10,000-square-feet, pre-function, outdoor area with a VIP entranceway lined with eight towering palm trees. Vista del Mar can host 700 guests for a standing reception and up to 350 guests in rounds.
Combined, Lagunita and Vista del Mar can host more than 1,000 guests.
