Miami

  • The newly opened Thompson Miami Beach features 380 guest rooms, 47,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor multifunction space and Seagrape, a Floridian brasserie helmed by Michelle Bernstein, James Beard Award winner and local culinary heroine.
  • The recently opened Miami Beach Edition is an “urban resort” by Ian Schrager, creator of the Delano. The new property offers 294 individually designed guest rooms and suites as well as an 8,300-square-foot private event space with its own dedicated entrance.
  • The recently reinvented Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach offers 200 guest rooms and suites along with a variety of meeting spaces, all accented with Art Deco touches befitting this landmark property.
  • Sprawling across 300 acres on Greater Miami’s northern end, Turnberry Isle recently unveiled 119 renovated guest rooms and suites in its Hibiscus Building.

Fort Lauderdale

  • Fronting lovely Fort Lauderdale Beach, Lago Mar Resort and Club recently renovated its patio bar and refreshed the north lobby and meeting rooms with rich carpeting and Florida colors such as aqua and teal.
  • Once slated to become a Trump property, the 290-room beachfront Conrad Fort Lauderdale is undergoing more than $34 million in upgrades and is due to open in summer 2015 with more than 15,000 square feet of event space.
  • The Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Resort & Spa completed a $7 million renovation of 32 meeting rooms.
