DETROIT
The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center completed a $30 million renovation project which transformed 1,329 guest rooms and 100,000 square feet of meeting space.
The 70-floor hotel remained open throughout the project with a few floors undergoing reconstruction at a time.
The new Detroit-themed meeting rooms will feature the colors of a Michigan beach at sunset. Renovations also included an update of the ballroom and exhibit hall space to allow greater functionality.
The Detroit Marriott's makeover is part of Marriott Hotels' current brand transformation to attract worldly, tech-savvy millennial travelers.
The Detroit Marriott at the Renaissance Center is located on the riverfront in downtown Detroit, 25 minutes from the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Function space can accommodate up to 2,200 guests.
