Le Meridien New Orleans Transforms Guest Rooms, Adds Restaurant

NEW ORLEANS

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide debuted the new Le Méridien in New Orleans near the French Quarter. The hotel formerly operated under the W brand, until it was purchased by the Chesapeake Lodging Trust for $65 million in 2014.

Chesapeake launched the comprehensive $29 million renovation.

Le Méridien New Orleans offers 410 renovated guestrooms and bathrooms as well as upgraded fitness center, rooftop pool and more than 10,000 square feet of modern meeting facilities.

The lobby features the Le Méridien Hub™ experience, which transforms traditional lobby into a gathering place, with social spaces, artwork and light.

The Le Méridien New Orleans is located near the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center and a few blocks from the boutiques, art galleries and jazz clubs in the French Quarter.
