1. Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I lived in France for three years as a child and still speak nearly fluent French. While I was there, I began my acting career, appearing in commercials and the film Paris When It Sizzles, with Tony Curtis, Audrey Hepburn and William Holden, and also did dubbing for French and English movies. I had a lot of fun, but didn’t realize then what a big deal it was to be exchanging lines with a major movie star like Tony Curtis.
2. If you could be a famous literary character, who would it be?
My favorite literary character is Ian Fleming’s James Bond, so I definitely wouldn’t mind being in James’ shoes. He got all the girls, beat up all the bad guys and was envied by men everywhere as one cool cat.
3. What is the oddest role you’ve played as an actor?
I would have to say playing a prison guard in a movie called Animal Factory, starring Willem Dafoe and directed by Steve Buscemi of Boardwalk Empire fame. We shot it in an old vacant prison but they imported real inmates as extras—an interesting collection of characters! In one scene Buscemi screamed at me for not closing the gate fast enough when the inmates rushed the gate in a prison break attempt. I got it right the second time!
