Site Spotlight: Shangri-La Hotel

The Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore completed a $1.6 million renovation of The Pavilion, a new, yet historic, event space at the hotel.

The site, which functioned as a Hollandse School between 1928 and 1982, will accommodate small corporate meetings, cocktail receptions and events of up to 100 people. The renovation retained most of the building’s original architecture, including gable roofs. Enrollment at the former Dutch School peaked at around 220 students in 1958.

The Shangri-La, Singapore is set amidst 15 acres of lush tropical gardens, with an outdoor grill kitchen that serves gourmet seafood and meats.

The 747–room hotel offers more than 59,000 square feet of function space.
