Originally opened in 1969 as the International Hotel, the newly renamed Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, located at 3000 Paradise Road, is the newest resort property in the Westgate Resorts family.
David Siegel, owner of Westgate Resorts, has committed to recreating the grand atmosphere that the International once showcased by revitalizing the property and enhancing the guest experience.
In an effort to continue improving the experience for meeting planners and event attendees, the Westgate Las Vegas will complete a full renovation of its convention space by the fall of 2015. Comprised of the Ballroom, Pavilion Center and the Paradise Events Center, the iconic resort property located adjacent to the Las Vegas Convention Center has long been a desirable location for meeting planners.

To offer guests an opportunity to enhance their stay at the Westgate Las Vegas, an all-new Concierge Lounge was added on the first floor of the east tower. This new addition to the property is available with Concierge Level room reservations or by upgrade. This lounge enhancement includes complimentary Wi-Fi, daily hot breakfasts, snacks throughout the day, nightly cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and a relaxing, private atmosphere.
Guest Room, Facility and Program Upgrades
In addition, the new Westgate Las Vegas has seen 1,000 newly remodeled Signature Rooms unveiled along with three new restaurants, a new bar and a complete renovation of the pool, cabanas, spa and fitness center.
The Signature Rooms offer plush accommodations, amazing views of the Las Vegas Valley and are a cornerstone of the revitalization efforts. The new restaurants, Sid’s Café, Silk Road Noodle Bar and the award-winning EDGE Steakhouse, offer diverse dining options ranging from home style entrees to new twists on Asian recipes to succulent steaks. The International Bar, located at the main entrance to the property and casino floor, offers a great space for meetings or relaxation.
The renovations of the pool, cabanas, spa and fitness center were aimed at improving the guest experience at the Westgate. The new fitness center is now the largest fitness center at any Las Vegas area resort.
The Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook, known as the world’s largest race and sports book, offers Nevada’s largest betting menu, and the gaming experience will be elevated to a whole new level in 2015. New suites and the best sports viewing experience in Las Vegas will be unveiled in the fall.
Celebrating an Iconic Entertainer
A big part of the property’s history is that it was once the Las Vegas home of music legend Elvis Presley. Elvis lived on-site and performed in the Westgate Theater from 1969 through 1976, completing 837 consecutive sold out shows.
To bring Elvis back in the building, Westgate has partnered with Graceland USA to host Elvis: The Exhibition, the only permanent Elvis exhibit outside of Memphis, Tennessee, and will showcase hundreds of artifacts never before displayed outside of Graceland. The exhibition will be open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and tickets are priced at $22 plus taxes and fees, and available for purchase now at WestgateVegas.com.
In addition, an all-new show line up will include Elvis-themed live shows for limited engagement runs on the very stage where Elvis performed for millions of guests during his record-breaking, seven-year stint. The debut show will be The Elvis Experience, a large-scale production replicating one of Elvis’ legendary Las Vegas shows, starring actor Martin Fontaine and featuring 24 musicians and eight choir members portraying the original musicians and artists on stage with Elvis.
This show opens on April 23 and performs Tuesdays through Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at WestgateVegas.com and start at $49 plus taxes and fees.
