Illinois
The new-build, 400-room Loews Chicago Hotel debuted in March, occupying the first 14 floors of a 52-story tower located a block north of the Chicago River. The property features a signature lobby bar named ETA; a celebrity chef-driven Argentine restaurant, Rural Society, by Iron Chef Jose Garces; more than 29,000 square feet of meeting space; a spa and fitness center with a 75-foot lap pool; and the largest outdoor rooftop terrace in the city. 

Hilton Worldwide recently announced the addition of London House Hotel to Curio—A Collection by Hilton, its global brand of luxury hotels. The property will be located in Chicago’s historic London Guarantee Building and new 22-story glass tower. Built on the site of Fort Dearborn in 1923, the London Guarantee & Accident Building was home to the renowned jazz club London House, which hosted numerous jazz luminaries before closing in the 1970s. London House is scheduled to open in spring 2016 following completion of a comprehensive restoration, as well as the addition of the tower. The hotel will have 452 guest rooms and two floors of retail. The tower will also include approximately 25,000 square feet of meeting and prefunction space comprised of a junior and grand ballroom, and multiple board and meeting rooms. The hotel will also have a destination spa and fitness center, rooftop dining and outdoor event spaces.

Indianapolis
The 137-suite DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Indianapolis–Carmel will be converted to a Homewood Suites. The three-story property will operate as a DoubleTree over the next year while the conversion takes place. The $6.5 million project will include the installation of kitchens in every suite. The property sits on 3.9 acres and includes 3,000 square feet of meeting space throughout six meeting rooms, a 24-hour fitness room and an indoor/outdoor pool.

Michigan
The nearly 100-year-old Amway Grand Plaza recently unveiled a $14 million renovation to its 29-story glass tower. The hotel also offers 47,000 square feet of meeting space, four elegant ballrooms and 42 meeting rooms and conference areas. The hotel is known for its Brew and Renew spa program and convenient location to nearby breweries.

Missouri
The 106-room Hampton Inn Springfield-Southeast recently debuted in downtown Springfield. The property offers a 575-square-foot meeting space that can accommodate up to 70 people, an indoor pool and a fitness center. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.

Ohio
Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Independence completed a renovation of its 118 suites. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, a fitness center and more than 800 square feet of meeting space. There is also an outdoor pool as well as complimentary evening social with wine and beer.

Hyatt Place Canton opened in March as a 105-room hotel located in the Belden Village Shopping area. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, a cocktails bar and 1,027 square feet of flexible meeting space. The hotel is near the Akron Canton Airport as well as a variety of attractions, such as the McKinley Science Museum and Classic Car Museum.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Cleveland Mentor recently underwent a complete renovation of its 96 suites. The hotel offers complimentary Wi-Fi as well as nearly 2,000 square feet of meeting space. There is a fitness center, heated outdoor pool and whirlpool, and an evening social with complimentary beer and wine.

Oklahoma
DoubleTree by Hilton Oklahoma City Airport recently debuted. Formerly a Cambria Suites, the 134-room hotel underwent property-wide renovations, including complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. Amenities include a fitness center, indoor heated pool and hot tub. Three meeting rooms total over 1,600 feet of space. The hotel offers the Meetings Simplified by DoubleTree by Hilton package, including the meeting room and basic meeting Wi-Fi.

Wisconsin
Wyndham Hotel Group debuted the 90-room Ramada Waupaca, offering more than 5,000 square feet of event space divided between four rooms. Located one mile from Waupaca Chain O’Lakes, a cluster of 22 spring-fed lakes, the hotel also offers access to Waupaca Expo Center, Hartman Creek State Park and the River Ridge Trail. There is a fitness center, on-site restaurant, indoor waterpark and a hot tub, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi access.
