Buffalo
- The Courtyard Buffalo Downtown/Canalside opened last year with four event rooms totaling 1,096 square feet, a fitness center, an indoor pool and business center.
- Scheduled to open this year, also downtown near the Canalside entertainment district, is the Buffalo Marriott Harborcenter Hotel. The 205-room hotel, which is attached to First Niagara Center, home of the Buffalo Sabres, will have 5,923 square feet of event space for groups of up to 240 guests.
- Hilton Garden Inn Buffalo Downtown, which opened last October in Lafayette Square, in the heart of historic downtown Buffalo, has six event spaces totaling 4,290 square feet.
- Aloft Buffalo Airport opened in last December with 153 guest rooms and two meeting spaces totaling 1,032 square feet.
- Slated to open in 2016 is the Westin Downtown Buffalo, which at press time was scheduled to have 118 guest rooms, 4,000 square feet of event/banquet and reception space, and another 6,000 square feet of outdoor meeting space.
Niagara Falls, U.S.
- The Hyatt Place in Niagara Falls is on track to break ground in June and open about 12 months later with 128 guest rooms and 14,500 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space.
- At press time, Wingate by Wyndham Niagara Falls was on track to open this spring with 110 guest rooms and meeting space.
Niagara Falls, Canada
- The Hilton Hotel and Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview, which is connected via glass-enclosed skywalk to the Fallsview Casino Resort, recently completed a guest room, lobby and restaurant renovation project.
- Sheraton on the Falls, which is connected via indoor walkway to Falls Avenue Resort, recently underwent a revitalization project that included new guest room furnishings, updated conference carpeting, and the addition of a new lobby bar, Christienne Fallsview Spa and the Sheraton Core Performance Fitness Centre.
