West Upgrades & Openings (May 2015)

Arizona
The Hilton Phoenix Airport recently completed $8 million in renovations, including upgrades to all of its 259 guest rooms, including 10 suites. There is also a new executive lounge and reconfigured lobby. The hotel offers 10,000 square feet of meeting and function space and a variety of dining options.

Scottsdale Resort & Conference Center, A Destination Hotel will embark on a large-scale renovation in July and change its name to The Scottsdale Resort at McCormick Ranch, A Destination Hotel. The first phase will inject $9 million into the 326-room property, introducing a new restaurant and bar, upgrading the main pool, adding significant outdoor meeting and event space, and enhancing guest rooms. The property’s tennis courts will be removed to create two event lawns and one sport court. The larger main lawn will offer more than 10,000 square feet of event space accommodating up to 1,200 people for receptions and teambuilding. The main pool area will include private cabanas and a new full-service restaurant and bar. The property will feature more than 80,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.

Hawaii
The 806-room Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa recently completed its new Lahaina Ballroom, a 4,900-square-foot space located on the lobby level of the property’s Lahaina Tower. The debut of the ballroom follows refreshments to the resort’s open-air Swan Court restaurant, Drums of the Pacific Luau and Sunset Terrace, Grotto Bar, 21 Ocean Suites, seven Deluxe Ocean Suites and three Premiere Suites. The hotel offers more than 100,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor function space.
