Las Vegas sets the stage for dazzling agendas

Since its 1992 Vegas debut with Nouvelle Experience at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, Cirque du Soleil has cemented its place in the Vegas entertainment landscape with eight permanent shows. Also in the firmament is international sensation Blue Man Group. Based at the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino, the group’s magically creative show includes exclusive 90-minute “Behind the Blue” tours.

Whatever your group pleasure, the city is ready to relax and entertain you, and from Elvis Presley to electrifying nightclubs to equestrian events, it’s playtime everywhere you go in Las Vegas.

Rock Beds

Music fans have a ready home at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. Offering 80,000 square feet of flexible, high-tech space, the 1,504-room “original rock ’n’ roll hotel” is home to The Joint. Doubling as full-service meeting and convention space, this award-winning, 4,255-person venue hosts superstar acts such as Paul McCartney and The Who, and residencies from Santana, KISS and for the last two months, Journey.

Enthusiasts will also enjoy the Hard Rock’s displays of rare music memorabilia from The Beatles, Elton John and other legends.

The “Fab Four” also carry on at The Mirage Hotel & Casino via Cirque du Soleil’s The Beatles LOVE. Originated by the late George Harrison and Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberte, this Beatles tribute is presented at The Mirage’s 360-degree theater. Offering 3,044 rooms, including 281 suites, and more than 170,000 square feet of group space, the Mirage’s other marquee shows include Aces of Comedy and Boyz II Men. With its legendary Volcano erupting nightly, outdoor event venues include Siegfried & Roy’s Secret Garden. and Dolphin Habitat, and Bare Pool Lounge.

Thrills and Spills
Opened in 1968, Circus Circus Hotel & Casino is a value-driven Vegas classic offering 3,697 recently refreshed rooms and 21,400 square feet of space for groups of up to 500 people.

With aerialists, clowns and other talent performing daily under its legendary Big Top, the fun palace’s assets include the five-acre Adventuredome, the nation’s largest indoor theme park. Welcoming 3.2 million visitors last year, the park features 25 rides, including the thrilling Canyon Blaster and El Loco roller coasters, and with a covered outdoor deck for groups of up to 500, can host private events of up to 4,000 people.

In southwest Las Vegas, the 2,079-room South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa is another old-school favorite. Two years after its $200 million transformation into the 1,467-room Tropicana Las Vegas a DoubleTree by Hilton, the resort is increasing its meeting and convention facilities to 100,000 square feet. Nearing completion, the project includes the introduction of the new 55,000-square-foot Trinidad Pavilion and state-of-the-art Wi-Fi access property-wide. With its bright South Beach-inspired decor and ambiance, the new Tropicana’s entertainment venues include the Laugh Factory comedy club and the Tropicana Theater, stage for marquee shows including Raiding the Rock Vault, featuring former members of Heart, Whitesnake and Bon Jovi.

Delegates seeking a stylish escape have a ready off-Strip oasis in the sustainability-focused M Resort Spa and Casino. Located in Henderson, this Forbes Four-Star property’s 390 luxurious rooms come with stunning desert and Strip views. With more than 92,000 square feet of meeting space and a 100,000-square-foot outdoor events piazza, the resort’s high-level group experience includes headline entertainment at the 2,300-seat M Pavilion, plus an underground wine cellar and exclusive 16th-floor LUX for social functions.

Topped by its powerful Sky Beam, the 4,405-room Luxor Hotel & Casino waves like a flashlight to fun-seeking groups. Along with 20,000 square feet of flexible space, including a multiuse ballroom for up to 1,000 guests, entertainment options include Cirque du Soleil’s Criss Angel Believe, and electrifying Prism show from famed dance troupe Jabbawockeez. Reopened in February, LAX Nightclub is a 26,000-square-foot nightlife venue offering seven VIP lofts and a private dance area.
