DoubleTree by Hilton opened the DoubleTree by Hilton Grand Rapids Airport in April, following a $2.5 million renovation that completely transformed the former Hilton Grand Rapids Airport property. The 226-room hotel features an open concept lobby, guest room updates, revamped meeting spaces, a renovated indoor pool area and a restaurant concept emphasizing locally sourced menu options. An option for events of many sizes, the hotel offers more than 7,500 square feet of meeting space, including 10 flexible meeting rooms and one large ballroom.
Amway Grand Plaza Hotel renovated 285 guest rooms on the property’s glass tower side last October. The property boasts 682 guest rooms, including a variety of suites, and also offers about 47,000 of meeting and event space that includes four ballrooms.
CityFlats Hotel recently opened a new ballroom transformed from a historic space that once served as a local bank, which can host up to 200 attendees. The hotel is also in the process of expanding and adding additional event space that includes a “blow dry bar” estimated to be finished by this summer.
