BOISE
The Boise Centre, which currently offers 50,000 square feet of exhibit/meeting space, including a 25,000-square-foot ballroom, will undergo a 40,000-square-foot expansion project that’s scheduled for completion by next summer (2016). A space adjacent to the existing center will allow the expansion, which will include a 15,000-square-foot ballroom, a commercial kitchen and an additional 14,000 square feet of meeting space and 7,000 square feet of prefunction space.
COEUR D’ALENE
The Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn, which has 13,000 square feet of meeting space, completed a full renovation in fall 2014. The project included updates to the property’s 122 guest rooms, 11,000 square feet of meeting space, public spaces and Mulligan’s Bar and Grille.
The Coeur d’Alene Resort will spend more than $1 million in capital improvements this year. Upgrades will focus on furnishings and audiovisual systems. Improvements will also include the redesign of Beverly’s Restaurant, and the resort golf course will implement a new GPS system.
SUN VALLEY
At press time, Sun Valley Resort’s signature Sun Valley Lodge was on track to reopen last month, on June 15, after a renovation that increased the lodge’s overall square footage by 40 percent. The remodel was set to debut more spacious guest rooms, many doubling in size, and a new 20,000-square-foot destination spa, The Spa at Sun Valley, offering 15 treatment rooms, steam and sauna rooms, a fitness center and a yoga studio. Additionally, three new meeting rooms were added to the property.
