Bellevue
- The 384-room Seattle Marriott Hotel Bellevue opened in July with 21,000 square feet of event space.
- The 54,000-square-foot Meydenbauer Center recently began a $12.5 million renovation scheduled to be completed by September. .
- W Hotels plans to open a 245-room hotel in Bellevue in spring 2017.
Bellingham
- Semiahmoo Resort, Golf and Spa, in Blaine, was given an extensive facelift last year to its 212 guest rooms and 35,000 square feet of meeting space.
- A 153-room Holiday Inn broke ground in May adjacent to Bellingham International Airport. Amenities will include more than 7,500 square feet of meeting space.
Olympia
- The 192-room Red Lion Hotel Olympia is undergoing a renovation that is slated for completion in December, including its 16,500 square feet of meeting space.
Seattle
- Washington State Convention Center recently completed a $20 million upgrade of its downtown Seattle facility.
- Seattle developer R.C. Hedreen Co. announced plans to build Seattle’s largest hotel, near the Washington State Convention Center, with 1,264 hotel guest rooms and 140,000 square feet of meeting space when it opens in early 2018.
- The SLS Hotel Seattle will be part of a new 660-foot skyscraper in downtown. The 15-story hotel, slated to open in 2017, will consist of 184 rooms and more than 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
- North of Seattle, Tulalip Resort Casino is undergoing renovations to the majority of its 370 guest rooms, with a completion date set for spring 2016.
Seattle Southside
- Ariel Development announced plans for a 150-room Hyatt Place in SeaTac. The $25 million development is expected to be completed in 2016.
Spokane
- The Spokane Convention Center completed a $55 million expansion project in January, and now totals 500,000 square feet. The connecting Davenport Grand Hotel, which opened in June and includes 716 guest rooms, has more than 63,000 square feet of meeting space.
Vancouver USA
- The 226-room Hilton Vancouver Washington recently completed a refresh of its guest rooms and is in the process of renovating its meeting space and ballrooms.
Wenatchee
- The Wenatchee Convention Center is undergoing renovations scheduled for completion this month. The center offers 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
