CONNECTICUT
➤ The Mohegan Sun announced plans to build a new 400-room “Earth” tower at its Uncasville resort. Scheduled for completion in fall 2016, it will include function space.

➤ The Hilton Mystic recently completed a property-wide renovation that included the refurbishment of its 182 guest rooms and 6,396 square feet of meeting space.

MAINE
➤ The Press Hotel opened in downtown Portland in the former Portland Press Herald Building. Part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection, the 110-room hotel has a penthouse suite with a rooftop terrace converted from the publisher’s office, along with four meeting rooms.

MASSACHUSETTS
➤ The Williams Inn in Williams was acquired by Williams College last year and is now operated by the Main Street Hospitality Group, which also manages the Red Lion Inn in Stockbridge, Mass. The 124-room hotel offers meeting space for up to 250 people

➤ A 330-room Aloft hotel and a 180-room Element hotel are under construction on a 5.6-acre site across the street from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. The Aloft will open in February 2016 and the Element will open in December 2015.

➤ The Godfrey Hotel Boston is set to open in October on the upper floors of the historic Blake Building in downtown Boston. The 242-room property will offer a restaurant, lobby bar, fitness center, business center and an executive meeting room.

NEW HAMPSHIRE
➤ The Hanover Inn Dartmouth completed a renovation of its 108 guest rooms and finished upgrades to its 3,933-square-foot Minary Conference Center. The hotel offers 11,000 square feet of meeting space.

RHODE ISLAND
➤ The Newport Marriott completed a renovation of all of its 320 rooms and function spaces. The hotel also added the M Club concierge lounge.

VERMONT
➤ Kimpton Hotels will open its first hotel in Vermont in December, the 87-room Kimpton Taconic Hotel in Manchester. The property will feature a 2,600-square-foot ballroom and outdoor function areas.
