Night Moves in Central Florida

From the high-energy wattage of a themed dining venue to the low-key groove of a jazz club, Central Florida has that and everything in between for groups downshifting from work to whatever’s next.

Consider the following:
Artisan’s Table in downtown Orlando offers creative twists on traditional fare such as bacon-wrapped dates and pan-roasted Scottish salmon with Israeli couscous tabbouleh, as well as signature cocktails based on available fresh ingredients. Another twist—instead of being cloistered away, its 10-person private dining space, the Wine Room, is enclosed by glass and sits in the middle of the restaurant.

“If groups want a special menu, we can do that, or they can just order off the regular menu,” notes owner Lee Kaleel.

Local growers supply the fresh ingredients at Boca, a new Winter Park dining locale with a hip yet homey feeling. Semi-private dining for up to 50 is available. Or head upstairs to Park Social (both venues are owned by Be1 Concepts), which calls itself a speakeasy but actually looks more like a ’70s throwback with kitschy lamps and groovy furniture. However, like a speakeasy, there is a password of the day, so call ahead (407.636.7020). Park Social offers buyouts of up to 120 guests.

Gainesville’s Stage 7 Karaoke offers individual karaoke rooms so attendees can sing their hearts out in relative privacy. Opt for a single suite or a buyout that includes all five karaoke rooms and the common areas.

“We partner with a lot of catering companies or groups can bring their own food,” says founder Wei Fan.
