Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced in July the completion of a sweeping, multimillion-dollar revitalization of the iconic Kona Kai Resort & Spa. From the refreshed guest rooms to the addition of a 7,020-square-foot SpaTerre, Kona Kai has substantially revamped its property situated on the very tip of Shelter Island. Upgrades include 129 revitalized guest rooms and in-room amenities, a refreshed lobby, a completely renovated waterfront restaurant, Vessel, a newly built Tiki Bar, along with a revamped pool, the addition of SpaTerre and 55,000 square feet of flexible meetings spaces.

Kimpton’s Hotel Palomar San Diego unveiled its 50-room surf-inspired Skyline Collection, located on floors 16 through 20. The new guest rooms, suites and penthouses were constructed to create additional opportunities for guests to experience Palomar San Diego and enhance the guest journey. In conjunction with the rooms, the hotel launched new daily programming at its famed SummerSalt Pool and Lounge, and created an adrenaline-filled adventure package, Take Flight. Additionally, Hotel Palomar San Diego recently launched an Instagram campaign with a prize valued at $5,000 that includes a two-night stay in the Skyline Penthouse. The property boasts more than 20,000 square of overall meeting and event space.

The Hilton San Diego Mission Valley Hotel announced in June the completion of its $12 million renovation. The entire property has been reimagined, and highlights of the latest renovations include an expansive outdoor deck, landscape redesign and revamped meeting rooms. The reinvention of the Hilton San Diego Mission Valley includes a new 5,000-square-foot outdoor event deck built into the hillside and equipped with LED globe string lights and heaters. The renovation also includes a new foyer for the Kensington Ballroom, as well as several new boardrooms, breakout rooms, and office spaces for meetings, corporate events and business retreats. Prior to the outdoor renovations, the hotel completed a top-to-bottom redesign of its 350 guest rooms and opened Polanco, the property’s Spanish-inspired dining destination.
