Stephanie Dowling has joined the Arizona Office of Tourism as deputy director. As the new addition to its executive marketing team, Dowling will focus on the strategic development of the agency's advertising, PR and communications programs.

Dowling has nearly 20 years of experience in communications, public relations and advertising; of that, 10 years as a hospitality executive specializing in tourism and destination marketing. Dowling joined Starwood Hotels as director of public relations and marketing for The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Arizona. In September 2013, she was named regional director of public relations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts in Hawaii.
The following year, Dowling was promoted to regional director of marketing communications to continue her leadership of the public relations team and to include oversight of the in-house advertising agency for Starwood’s 11 properties on four islands.
