What are three great options for groups that are unique to Los Angeles?
Warner Brothers Studio. It’s not an amusement park, but a place where you can get a real in-depth look at how movies and TV shows are made. Groups can visit the sets of shows like Ellen, Conan O’Brien or The Big Bang Theory. Evening events are awesome. We love to use the New York street sets with their facades of Brooklyn and SoHo and where movies like Annie and The Mask were made. You can customize them with lights and decor and do things with branding. It’s a huge draw for corporate groups.
Endeavor Space Shuttle. Two years ago L.A. was one of 32 cities hoping to get the Endeavor when it went into retirement. Its permanent home is now at the California Science Center. The space shuttle is massive—it literally takes your breath away when you walk in and see it. We can do dinners underneath it, using a planetary or star theme. It’s great for international groups because astronauts from around the world are honored in the pavilion.
Microsoft Square. This is the heart of the L.A. Live complex right next to the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center. You can do huge events in the square as well as buy out the street that connects it to Staples Center. With the lights and screens, it really captures the high-energy excitement of this part of the city.
