One of my favorite job responsibilities here is acting as the moderator for our many webinars, which we have done for almost a decade, making us one of the first organizations in our industry to offer them.
I personally learn so much about the meetings industry and the issues facing planners—and suppliers—by acting as an “information intermediary.”
And I’m not alone here in this role, as various other editors fill in from time to time when I’m indisposed, and our eMedia editor, Eric Andersen, hosts a regular series of tech-focused webinars sponsored by Cvent.
Add to this our On Location broadcasts, captured at major industry events, and our new GroupThink discussions, for which we’ve partnered with MGM Resorts International, and I’m personally proud to say our commitment to industry education is a major part of our content mission.
Also, I confess to loving it when I meet planners on the road and they mention how much they enjoy our webinars, sometimes pointing at me and saying, “You’re that guy who does the webinars!” That’s me.
We’ll be working to expand our educational presence next year. To kick it off, I thought I’d list our webinar schedule for 2016. Check out www.meetingstoday.com/Webinars to register and learn more, and stay tuned for more announcements on the educational and other fronts!
