This year has presented us with a variety of accolades and events, including our recent nomination for two Folio: magazine Eddie Awards, an August press trip to Sarasota, Fla., and a spring FAM trip in which we assisted the Glacier Country Regional Tourism Commission by tapping some of our meeting planner readers for their trip to the Big Sky Country of Montana.
◗ Last spring, Meetings Focus joined with the Glacier Country Regional Tourism Commission to bring readers to Western Montana’s Glacier Country, with tours of Missoula, Kalispell and Whitefish, authentic Big Sky Country experiences, unexpected culinary delights and site inspections of key meeting venues and lodging options.
◗ In mid-August, our new content developer of departments and features, Kate Cripe, headed to Sarasota, Fla., to attend a press trip to OPAL Collection Hotels & Resorts’ The Resort at Longboat Key Club and Lido Beach Resort. The theme was “Brews, Bites & Beaches,” so it’s safe to say she had a good time.
