Chile
The 205-room Courtyard by Marriott Santiago Las Condes opened adjacent to the Santiago Marriott. The hotel features 3,000 square feet of meeting space, including five meeting rooms. This is in addition to the Santiago Marriott, which offers 280 guest rooms and over 10,800 square feet of space.

Ghana
Marriott International announced the opening of its first property in Ghana, Protea Hotel Select Takoradi. The hotel has 132 guest rooms, including 12 two-bedroom apartments. The property has three meeting rooms and space for up to 150 people. There is an on-site restaurant, bar and lounge, and terrace that can be used for events as well.

Romania
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of Sheraton Bucharest Hotel. The 270-room hotel includes 27 Executive Suites, a Presidential Suite and the Sheraton Club lounge. Centrally located, business districts, dining, shopping and a subway station are all nearby. There are also two dining options on-site. The property has over 12,900 square feet of meeting and event space made up of 10 conference rooms, two ballrooms and a boardroom. Conference rooms can hold 10 to 400 people and all together can accommodate up to 1,400 individuals. n
 
United Arab Emirates
Madinat Jumeirah, located in Dubai, is debuting Fort Island, a new space for meetings and events. The venue will be nearly 19,000 square feet and will be able to hold up to 1,400 people in a cocktail set-up and up to 1,100 people banquet-style. Fort Island is located near the property’s stand-alone conference center and when complete the convention and meeting space will total over 107,000 square feet and hold up to 9,000 people, making it the largest meeting and event space in the U.A.E. The resort consists of three hotels with almost 900 guest rooms, suites and villas, and over 40 restaurants.

United Kingdom
The 170-room DoubleTree by Hilton Working opened outside London. The city is a corporate hub, accessible to London via train and a short drive to Heathrow Airport. The renovated hotel has 5,800 square feet of meeting and event space accommodating up to 300 in the new Working Suite.

Radisson Red Hotel Glasgow will open with 176 guest rooms as Europe’s first new-build Radisson Red brand. The property, located in the city center is next to the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, the largest meeting venue in Scotland, and can accommodate 3,000 in the Clyde Auditorium and up to 12,500 people in its Hydro arena.
