Hotel RL the first of Red Lion’s new boutique offerings, opened in August. Housed in Baltimore’s historic Keyser Building with 130 guest rooms and 2,400 square feet of meeting space, the venue can host groups of up to 175.
Located in the historic district of the city, the IHG’s Hotel Indigo offers 162 rooms and more than 4,000 square feet of flexible meeting space.
Hyatt Place Baltimore Inner Harbor East opened in late 2014 with 208 guest rooms, 2,500 square feet of meeting space and a prefunction foyer.
The Hunt Valley Inn, a Wyndham Grand property, recently finished a $15 million renovation of its interior. The property provides 392 guest rooms and the largest collection of meeting and event venues in North Baltimore, including 30,000 square feet of function space, 18 meeting rooms, two re-designed ballrooms and a new events lawn.
The National Aquarium opened Living Seashore in May. The 2,700-square-foot interactive exhibit space features two large saltwater touch pools with a variety of marine animals.
The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company transformed a landmark bank building into a 260-seat theater inspired by Shakespeare’s Globe. The space is available to rent for meetings.
Opened in late 2014, The Waterfront Partnership’s McKeldin Square Ice Rink is a fun opportunity for fans of the winter sport. Open from mid-November to mid-January, the rink is accessible on a walk-in basis for individuals and can be reserved in advance for groups of 10 or more.
Babe Ruth: 100 Years, a new permanent exhibit at the recently renovate Babe Ruth Birthplace Museum commemorates Ruth’s entry into professional baseball and features several never-before-seen artifacts.
