Portland
Hotel Eastlund opened in June in Portland’s eastside Lloyd District, across from the Oregon Convention Center. The boutique property has on-site dining and over 5,300 square feet of meeting space.
Hotel Lucia completed a renovation in June including lobby and meeting space updates.
Hotel Vintage Portland, formerly the Hotel Vintage Plaza, completed a renovation in May including the addition of a new two-floor lobby and a game room with pool and shuffleboard.
Hi-Lo Hotel is on track to open this winter.
At press time, the Society Hotel, a budget-conscious boutique hotel, was scheduled to open this month with 36 guest rooms, a rooftop terrace and cafe.
Ground has broken on the 203-room Hyatt House at RiverPlace, which is expected to open next summer.
Central Oregon
Sunriver Resort recently opened a remodeled restaurant, lobby bar and tavern, as well as a new pool facility and cafe.
Black Butte Ranch, located in Sisters, this year completed a redevelopment project including an updated lodge area, lakeside pool, retail space and bistro.
The 114-room Hampton Inn & Suites Bend opened in Bend’s historic Old Mill District last fall with 2,300 square feet of meeting space.
The Riverhouse Hotel and Convention Center in the heart of Bend is undergoing a renovation project to upgrade its 220 guest rooms and bar/restaurant area. Additionally, the 53,000-square-foot convention center will have its audiovisual system upgraded.
At Pronghorn Resort, located just outside of Bend, work is underway on a $20 million lodge and event facility. The lodge will feature 105 rooms and an Auberge Spa.
Lane County
Phoenix Inn Suites Eugene completed a carpeting and furniture update in all guest rooms in May.
The new 124-room Hyatt Place Eugene is scheduled to open next summer (2016).
Washington County
At press time, the Tigard, Ore.-based iFly Portland, an indoor skydiving attraction, was on track to open this fall.
