East Upgrades & Openings (Nov. 2015)

Maryland
The Hunt Valley Inn completed a $15 million property-wide renovation and is now part of the Wyndham Grand Collection. The 33,000-square-foot convention hall was upgraded and both indoor and outdoor prefunction spaces were added now totaling 18 flexible spaces. The hotel’s restaurant Cinnamon Tree was redesigned along with all 393 guest rooms.

New York
Four Points by Sheraton Newburgh debuted with 124 guest rooms and just two miles from Stewart International Airport. The hotel features and open-style public space with a new two-story lobby, bar and restaurant. Adjacent to the lobby is an outdoor fire pit where guests can relax and take in views of the Hudson Valley. The property offers two meeting spaces with 600 square feet.

Pennsylvania
InterContinental Hotels Group opened its first Hotel Indigo brand in Pennsylvania, the Hotel Indigo Pittsburgh East Liberty. The 135-room hotel is both a reuse and new build property comprised of four buildings, including one that was formally the Governor Hotel in the East Liberty neighborhood. Wallace’s TapRoom, the on-site restaurant features rum form local Wigle’s Craft Spirit distillery, Philadelphia’s first post prohibition. With 2,400 square feet of total meeting space, there a 1,769-square-foot grand ballroom and grand foyer for larger events and an executive boardroom for smaller groups.

Washington
The Residence Inn Washington, DC completed renovation of all 202-guest rooms. The extended stay hotel updated the rooms including new carpet in the living and sleeping areas and wood in the kitchen and vanity spaces. The hotel, located near the National Mall and Washington Convention Center, features 1,175 square feet of meeting space and three meeting rooms.

Canada
W Montreal debuted its restyled its 152 guest rooms and suites. This is the first full-scale room renovation for the property which opened in 2004. The new design reflects the architecture and culture of Montreal while keeping in theme with the W brand and each room features the cocktail corner and Mix Bar. The property offers 3,000 square feet of meeting space divided over five studios. The largest space is 1,500 square feet and can accommodate up to 120.
