PigOut Catering offers an experience that puts the food at the center of attention. It partners with event management and entertainment companies to provide full-service, white-linen events, but what sets it apart is that an oversized spit roast spinning whole pig is the centerpiece.
In addition to the whole roast pig, menus feature other naturally raised meats and fish, fresh local in season produce and chefs and staff are also included on-site for food and drink service.
Alan and Anne Dickson, two hospitality executives, founded PigOut in Ontario, Canada in 2007. For the prior 25 years, the Dicksons owned and operated their own hotels, restaurants and catering businesses. Now there are nine franchise locations in Ontario as well as others across the U.S.
Because there isn’t real estate costs with this business, like there are in a restaurant, it’s appealing to entrepreneurs. PigOut has worked with groups of all sizes and in a variety of locations.
